La collezione Autunno Inverno 2026–2027 di Casa Preti riflette sui concetti di Pietà e Pietas.

Nel disinteressato relativismo contemporaneo, in cui la violenza è presente e normalizzata, torna necessario interrogare la morale.

In un riferimento diretto ai classici, Enea e Maria, la collezione si confronta con l’atto del sorreggere il padre, il figlio. Si chiede chi sostenga chi. Se la storia regga il contemporaneo o il contemporaneo regga la storia. Se la madre sia il figlio o il figlio sia la madre. Interroga gli dei e si domanda quanto la violenza sia necessaria.

Sottili sete delicate sono attraversate da strappi violenti, indifferenti al verso del drittofilo, come la violenza sui corpi impotenti non si domanda dove dormiranno i nostri figli. Cuciture a cinque centimetri espongono tagli e costruzioni, il dietro le quinte diventa visibile, apertura agli spazi intimi dell’abito, metafora di case in cui fare ritorno.

Pietà e Pietas delineano una visione che non impone l’eroismo ma riconosce la condizione umana, capace di errore. Si configurano come un atto di libertà, dal proprio pregiudizio e da quello dello sguardo altrui, di fronte alla possibilità di essere fragili e insieme meravigliosi.

Un ringraziamento è rivolto alla storia, alla madre e al padre, agli dei che non chiedono di essere eroi ma, come Enea, di fondare la propria Roma.

 

Un piccolo mazzo di fiori, la Gypsophila simbolo della casa, accompagna “Busta Vuota”, cadeau della collezione, un invito al superamento della sottile linea tra il vuoto consumo di violenza e la possibilità di uno spazio vuoto, casa di possibili, pie, future speranze. 

 

 

The Fall Winter 2026–2027 collection by Casa Preti reflects on the concepts of Pietà and Pietas.

In an age marked by detached relativism, where violence is present and normalized, it becomes necessary once again to question morality.

With a direct reference to the classics, Aeneas and Mary, the collection confronts the act of carrying the father, the son. It asks who sustains whom. Whether history sustains the present or the present sustains history. Whether the mother is the child or the child is the mother. It questions the gods and asks how necessary violence truly is.

Delicate, fine silks are cut by violent tears, indifferent to the grain of the fabric, just as violence against powerless bodies does not ask where our children will sleep. Seams left at five centimeters expose cuts and construction; the backstage becomes visible, opening the intimate spaces of the garment as a metaphor for the home to which one returns.

Pietà and Pietas outline a vision that does not impose heroism but recognizes the human condition, capable of error. They take shape as an act of freedom, freedom from one’s own prejudice and from the gaze of others, in the face of the possibility of being fragile and, at the same time, extraordinary.

A tribute is offered to history, to the mother and the father, to the gods who do not ask us to be heroes but, like Aeneas, to found our own Rome.

A small bouquet of Gypsophila, symbol of the house, accompanies “Busta Vuota” (“Empty Envelope”), the collection’s cadeau: an invitation to move beyond the thin line between the empty consumption of violence and the possibility of an empty space as a home for future, hopeful possibilities.
